Guardianas

Guardianas is a photographic series created alongside the documentary short film of the same name, currently in post-production. Filmed in the Ecuadorian Amazon during and after Ecuador's 2022 Indigenous uprising, the work weaves together portraits, documentary images, and details of the natural world, reflecting the deep connection between Indigenous women, the forest, and the defense of their territory.
